Refund / Cancellation
The Return Policy Logic (The "No-Warranty, No-Return" Rule)@
Delivery Trigger: The clock starts the moment the tracking status shows "Delivered."
Warranty Activation (48-Hour Window): The customer must visit the Warranty Page, enter their Purchase Code, and upload a high-resolution photo of the rug in its delivered location.
The Baseline: This photo serves as the "Proof of Quality."
Return Request: If a customer wants to return the rug later (within your standard return window, e.g., 14 or 30 days), the system first checks for a valid Warranty Activation.
If no activation exists: The return is automatically denied.
If activation exists: The return proceeds to manual or AI review.
Process Flow - Website Design
Step 1: The Warranty Page (The Gatekeeper)
This page is the most important part of your risk mitigation.
Input Fields:
Order/Purchase Code.
Customer Email.
Photo Upload Button: Must require at least one clear, wide-angle shot of the rug.
Designer Note: Add a "Photo Guide" popup. It should show a "Good Photo" (bright light, showing all four corners) vs. a "Bad Photo" (blurry, dark, or partial).
Success Action: Once submitted, the user receives an email: "Warranty Activated. Your purchase is now eligible for our Return Program."
Step 2: The Return Policy Page (The Legal/Copy)
This page must be blunt. Do not sugarcoat the requirements.
Headline: "How to Stay Eligible for Returns."
The 48-Hour Rule: State clearly that returns are only accepted for customers who registered their rug within 48 hours of delivery.
Reasoning: "We do this to ensure every Calrug arrives in perfect condition. By documenting the arrival, we protect both you and our artisans from unfair claims."
Step 3: The Return Request Form
Validation Logic: When a user enters their Order ID to start a return, the system cross-references the "Warranty Database."
Failure State: If the Order ID is not in the Warranty Database, show this message: "We cannot process this return. Our records show the 48-hour Quality Verification was not completed upon delivery."
